DESCRIPTION

This instrument performs a battery of blood chemistry tests using pre-packaged powered or tablet reagents. Test results are displayed on screen (LCD) or output to the on board printer.

It was designed for low volume testing applications, i.e. infrequent lab tests that do not warrant batch processing or occasional stats.

On board diluent, syringe pump and vortex mixer automatically reconstitute the reagent and add the blood sample for analysis.

Test protocols are loaded from floppy disk for easy additions and revisions.

NOTEWORTHY TECHNOLOGY

Temperature controlled sample chamber is also a variable speed vortex mixer

Spectrometer reads through vortex mixer while rotating to minimize thermal gradients and disperse surfactants

Multiple position sample arm mechanism operates from only one motor and a ratcheting cam
