Industrial Products, Sub Assemblies and Systems
DESCRIPTION
The LM-30 Optical
Multimeter is a bench top instrument that measures
radiometric power, photometric power, and spectral
characteristics of any light source. Light is input via an
optical fiber with an integrated lens.
The spectral shape,
peak characteristics and measured power, are displayed on a
graphic LCD display. The spectral response of the instrument
is 200nm to 1100 nm.
The fiber is coupled to a grating spectrometer. The detector
is a 2048 pixel linear PCCD array that is clocked at 500 kHz
to a 16 bit A to D converter.
The instrument is controlled with a 80C186EB microcontroller.
The software was written in C and assembly.
NOTEWORTHY
TECHNOLOGY
The hardware is run
with a programmable state machine designed into
an Altera FPGA.
A very compact
spectrograph was designed specifically for this product
Differential
integrator results in an extremely quite signal into a 16
bit converter that runs at 500kHz
Sophisticated peak
finding algorithm using first and second derivatives
